VP Prime Mega Menu User Guide

The following documentation explains the configuration options of the VP Prime Manufacturer Carousel module for VirtueMart.

Module Configuration

VP Prime Mega Menu - Module Settings
Select Menu

Select a menu in the list.

Base Item

Select a menu item to always be used as the base for the menu display. You must set the Start Level to the same level or higher than the level of the base item. This will cause the module to be displayed on all assigned pages. If Current is selected the active item is used as the base. This causes the module to only display when the parent menu item is active.

Start Level

Level to start rendering the menu at. Setting the start and end levels to the same # and setting 'Show Sub-menu Items' to yes will only display that single level.

End Level

Level to stop rendering the menu at. If you choose 'All', all levels will be shown depending on 'Show Sub-menu Items' setting.

Sub-menu Items

Expand the menu and make its sub-menu items always visible.

You can configure mega menu options in the menu item settings under "VP Prime - Mega Menu" tab.

Show Description

Show description of the menu.

Description

Enter the description for the menu item.

Sticky Text

Enter the sticky text for the menu item.

Sticky Text Background

The sticky text background color.

Sticky Text Color

The sticky text color.

Submenu Content

Select what is to be displayed as submenu content. The options are "Child Menu Items", "Modules" and "Module Position"

Modules

Select the module to be displayed. This options is shown when you Submenu Content as "Modules".

Module Position

Select the module position to be displayed. This options is shown when you Submenu Content as "Module Position".

Sub-items Layout Style
Group

Group sub-menu with parent menu item. This option does not apply to top label menu items.

Dropdown Width

Width of the top-level dropdown submenu. Select 'custom' to enter the custom width in pixels. We recommend you avoid using the 'auto' width option.

Custom Dropdown Width

Enter custom drodown width in pixels.

Item Flow Direction

If row, items are listed in rows. If column, items are listed in columns.

Columns per Row

Number of columns per row in dropdown submenu. Select 'custom' to enter custom grid sizes per row.

Custom Grid Sizes per Row

Enter each grid value (fr) in separate lines.

Items per Columns

Enter the minimum items per column.

Column Width

Set the desired column width in pixels. If 0, the width will be set as 'auto'.

VirtueMart Categories
Merge VirtueMart Categories

If prepend, VirtueMart categories are prepended before this menu item. If append, VirtueMart categories are appended after this menu item. Just so you know, the categories will also follow the above layout style for its sub-category items.

Parent Category

Select the parent category whose children will be merged. If top level category, all categories will be merged.

End Level

Level to stop rendering the menu at. If you choose 'All', all sub-categories will be shown.
