I think you guys are just the right people to create something that I know would be very very popular in the VM community.

A component that allowed a customer to select the item they purchased from a drop down and leave a comment/feedback without having to go to the actual product. Such as amazon.com/feedback or ebay's feed back. You only have a single feedback page for easy linking and easier feedback submission. Like the big dogs! I have noticed that it is more difficult to get product feedback if they have to login, find their product, type the feedback and click submit. I know it takes time but seriously you could cash in on that if you created it. I would gladly pay 50$ to get my hands on that kind of feature.

Nice feature. But it not possible to add this feature to VirtueMart through any Joomla Template. It will require a new 3rd party component and a system plugin to achieve this. I will share a note with our developers on this.

Yeah I am aware that it isn't a template or vm feature. I was thinking it would be something like a plugin + component that would equal something like form submission.

Have it get products by id from category in a drop down. Once selected ajax can the load a small image of item or description and a text input and stars. Basically take the already built in feed back and put all of it on one page with easy selection. Can't you hear the cha ching of $ No one that I have talked to has that for VM.

Implementing Ajax is not very easy in VirtueMart as it does not provide much JSON feeding options in core. We are exploring many options but conclusion is still far away. We are also discussing this with core VirtueMart development team so that they improve the JSON possibilities in their future releases.

I would also like to share that VirtuePlanet does not go for any hacking of core model and classes of VirtueMart or any other extensions to bring in any new feature. Therefore we need to first ensure the core support before getting us into any new development.

Understood. I just gave a simple lame example. I also don't want to see vm core or jm core get hacked. I have been on vm and jm long enough to know that has bad outcome. I thought I was clear in my description. Anyways. Thanks for taking a moment to consider the idea.

It is not about money and we do not need any fund for any kind of development. We are extremely busy with many other projects and our main expertise is in designing. We also do not have much knowledge in Joomla component development as of now. Therefore we will not be able to focus to this development and we also can not give you any timeline.

If you are ready to invest money on this development then I would suggest you hire some professional Joomla component developer from the market.
