Hide Shipping option and show message until zip is entered

Have you given this a test Jumbo? It might be what I was looking for on the USPS showing the error until zip is calculated.
I do not like to ask unless I get confused or lost. I love to learn, I just struggle with it sometimes.

Please try to understand zip code is not always a criteria for all Shipping Methods. Even for some websites USPS also need country, state, etc fields to be incorporated before it can start calculating shipment cost. That is why this methodology can not be incorporated in the plugin by default. It can be tried by individuals if they find it useful for their sites.
