I have currently acquired Basic membership, I would like to change it to Standard paying the difference.

A subscription can not be changed. It also can not be upgraded just paying the difference. Every plans needs to be purchase separately. For that go to the subscription and order your new plan www.virtueplanet.com/membership/sign-up You can also wait till your existing subscription gets over.
