WYSIWYG Editor not showing
I am using VM , Joomla 2.5.8 and JCE editor 2.2.9.1 - there is no WYSIWYG editor in the back end for product description any longer. Please see screen shot - what could cause this? It started with not being able to maintain any formatting - it would end up as one long paragraph - now no editor at all.

That's because you have not set your default editor for your site as JCE Editor. Go to your Joomla Global Configuration page and set your desired editor as default which you would like to use. Presently it is set as "No Editor" See the attached screenshot for ready reference:

Jumbo, it is set to JCE Editor. I think there may be a conflict with JCE? Because if I go and set the editor to none, then go back to admin, I see the html, as epected. If I go back and change it to JCE it works until I leave the description page. When I return, or go to another, i get the same result that I showed you earlier.
I have changed it to the default TinyMC editor and it seems to be ok. But I really prefer the JCE editor.
Any ideas?

Before we start exploring the cause of your problem I would like to clarify that this issue has no relation with any Joomla Template or any VirtueMart theme because they only gets involved in the front end display of your site but has no relation with the back end.
The problem that you are facing can be caused either by VirtueMart or by JCE itself. So first check if JCE editor is working fine general Joomla contents/articles. If it is working fine there then the problem of JCE can be ruled out. Then it will confirm that the problem lies with VirtueMart. If it does work also for Joomla article then the problem is surely with JCE.
If the above test finds that the problem is with VirtueMart then Please try updating VirtueMart to the latest version. That should fix the problem. If it still does not fix the problem after the update then please inform us and also report this to VirtueMart team in forum.virtuemart.net If the problem is will JCE Editor itself then please contact the JCE team. They will surely help you out.
