Safe Path is not writeable

Can anyone suggest what needs adjusting to make safe path writable on virtuemart configuration setting?
The administrator has disabled public write access.

You need to set the permission of your safe path directory to 755 or 777 in you hosting server. You can not change thevperismission of any directory from VM configuration. Read this official VM forum topic to learn more: forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=106226.0
