VP One Page Checkout + Geo IP?

VP One Page Checkout is just a brilliant plugin just doing his job! :)
But I think that if the author can extend the plugin with the Geo IP functionality it will be just perfect!
For example: there is a free GPL Joomla component which installs all the GEO IP data in to the local DB of the site, ad after that the plugin can FAST check the IP and fill the right customer Country in to the checkout process ...

I'll be very thankfull if you think that my suggestion was helpfull for the ciommunity and decide to send me the next version of the plugin (with the Geo IP) if my subscribtion is expired then!

That will not be possible. All products and updates need to be downloaded from our site only and you need to have a valid subscription to get access to any of our commercial products.

yes, please extend the OPC plugin to use geo loc for the shipping field. thats a very good multilanguage support.

Thank you for your suggestion. It is in the wishlist but we faced some hiccups to implement this in existing VirtueMart checkout system. It has some stability issues which needs to overcome first before we can implement it in our plugin.

and what you think to show the country select field on cart page ?
it would be great if the customer can see the country shipping costs before start checkout.

I am sorry but I could not understand your last query. You can always select the country in the checkout page for billing address and shipping address. Shipping costs can be calculated based on the selected country. This is an existing feature of the plugin.

no i mean at the cart page not on the ceckout page.

i can find only the option 'Show Cart Totals in Sign-in Page' but without possibilty to select the country.

Countries can be selected in the address forms i.e. in Billing Address and Shipping Address area.
