Sometimes a View file will be updated by you bringing new features to a template, e.g. when you recently improved the Compare view for VP Merchant with configurable content to display.

If the view has already been overridden with my own customisations, your improvements will not be used because your updated file is overridden.

So my request is for you to please state in release notes if any template overrideable files have been updated.

We always do that. Check this file in your site for ready reference - templates/vp_merchant/CHANGELOG.txt It speaks about all files changes (new, updated & deleted) in the template and VP Framework.
