Because Facebook Microdata Debug Tool for Catalog gives this error.

A required field is missing: id
Products without "id" information can't be uploaded. Please check that this field is included for each product in a separate, labeled column.

VM OG Meta Tag does not create a Facebook Catalogue feed. The plugin is for Facebook sharing, where the product id will be an invalid meta tag.
You need to use the Facebook Sharing Debugger tool to debug OG Meta Tags - developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/.
For catalogue, you need to use an XML feed generator.
